st. nicholas day

explaining being pregnant to a 3 year old is a strange thing. they have no concept of time and dont understand 9 months. while i was preggo with max and keegan we continually told fin that after santa came, then max and keegan would come. after all, my original due date was in february. this was an easy way for him to digest the concept of 9 months. when i went on bedrest, one of my first thoughts was if these babies come before santa i am going to have a lot of explaining to do. as it turns out - they did arrive before santa. in all the chaos that ensued on dec. 6th last year, i didnt realize at the time that it was st. nicholas day. how appropriate! still not an easy concept for a child, but nonetheless from now on max and keegan will always share their birthday with st. nick! i can't believe that they will be 1 tomorrow!!
