when we got the results back, keegan hadnt had an episode for 11 days straight. the monitor guy recommended another month on the monitor - which we declined. the nicu guidelines look for 5 days without an episode before taking the monitor off - so we felt super comfortable with 11 days. our own ped. dr said he totally understood, and although he couldnt officially say so, he would do the same thing himself. so we unplugged keegan - and boy does it feel great to have cut that last tie to the nicu. now i feel like we can really set into a routine and be one big happy family.
next week is the boys original due date - i cant believe all that we have been through before they were even supposed to be here. we are soo lucky!
